Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Kimere collects through this site, why, for how long, and what rights you have over it. It describes what the site actually does: if a service is not named below, it is not used.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer: we do not fall within the cases where Article 37 of the GDPR makes one mandatory.

How your data reaches us

This site has no database and records nothing by itself. The pages are static files: until you fill in a form or contact us, no data about you reaches us at all.

Your data reaches us only through the three channels below.

1. The booking form (Google Forms)

Every “book” button on this site opens a qualification questionnaire hosted on Google Forms, in a new tab and on a different domain (docs.google.com). We use it to understand where you are in the process before the call.

When you leave this site for that form you enter a service run by Google: what you write there is collected and stored on Google’s systems, and your browsing on that domain is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and cookies, not by this page. The answers then reach us. Before filling it in, check what it actually asks you: because it is hosted externally, its content can be updated without this page changing.

The pages /en/book/ and /it/prenota/ do the same thing: they only hold a link to that questionnaire. Nothing is typed into this site.

2. If you write or call

We process the data you give us when you contact us directly: by email (Info.kimere@gmail.com and our lead contact’s direct address, both Gmail mailboxes provided by Google), by phone, or by messaging us on WhatsApp or Telegram using the links in the footer. Those links open the corresponding app or website: the conversation takes place on their infrastructure, under their own policies.

Internship applications fall under this channel: the button on the Internships page opens your mail client with the subject line already filled in. What reaches us is therefore whatever you choose to write or attach — typically your CV.

3. Server logs

Like any site on the internet, our hosting provider records the requests it receives (IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time) for security and service-operation purposes. We do not use them to profile you or to recognise you across visits.

Legal basis

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for marketing communications, which rest on a separate consent you can withdraw at any time without affecting the service you asked for.
• Pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) when you contact us about a booking, a quote or an application: we process your data to reply and to assess a possible working relationship together.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for server logs and anti-spam measures, limited to what is needed to keep the site secure and working.

Providing your data is always optional, but without it we cannot reply to you.

Who else sees this data

• Vercel Inc. — hosting provider: serves this site’s pages and keeps the related server logs, processing them as our data processor. It receives no form of yours, because this site hosts none. Its infrastructure is located in part in the United States.
• Google — hosts the booking questionnaire (Google Forms) and our business mailboxes (Gmail), and therefore processes the data passing through those channels. Its infrastructure is likewise located in part in the United States.
• Meta (WhatsApp) and Telegram — only if you choose to message us there.

We do not sell, rent or pass on your data to anyone else, and we do not use it to train any model. We use no analytics, advertising or social media tracking: no other third party receives your data through this site.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

The providers listed above are US companies and may process data outside the EEA. Such transfers rely on the instruments set out in Chapter V of the GDPR — an adequacy decision for the United States and/or Standard Contractual Clauses — as declared by each provider in its own terms.

How long we keep it

We keep the answers to the booking questionnaire for 24 months from the date they are sent, after which they are deleted. Emails and applications are kept for as long as it takes to handle them and in any case no longer than the same period, unless they become part of an ongoing relationship. If we start working together, retention for that relationship is governed by the engagement and by statutory obligations, not by this site.

Your rights

Under Articles 15–22 of the GDPR you can ask us to:

• access the data we hold about you;
• correct it, if it is wrong or out of date;
• erase it, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive it in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Automated decisions

No request is accepted, rejected or scored by an algorithm. A person reads what you send and replies.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. See our cookie policy for the technical detail, including the external services the site can take you to.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the tools we use change. The date at the top always reflects the version in force.
